It9s ideal for birthday outings, family days out, friend get-togethers and pet-friendly adventures at Norbury Wharf.
What To Expect
- Hours: Your hire runs from 9am to 4:30pm, leaving you a full day to explore canals and countryside.
- Start And Finish: Meet at Norbury Wharf (ST20 0PN, Norbury Junction) where easy parking and friendly staff await.
- Beginner Friendly: No prior experience required — you'll get an introductory lesson, safety briefing and easy-to-follow canal maps so everyone feels confident.
- Plan Your Day: Cruise at your own pace, stop at canal-side pubs or picnic on board or on the towpath.
- Group Ready: Boats accommodate up to 10 guests, including children and well-behaved dogs; life jackets are provided for children and non-swimmers.
- You Can Cook: The kitchens are set up with hob, pans and kettle and has sufficient plates, mugs and cutlery for the boat's passengers. There is hot and cold water and a fresh water flush toilet. Please be advised that the water supplied in the domestic water tank on all of our boats is not suitable for drinking water unless it has been boiled. Therefore we suggest that you purchase drinking water in bottles.

Norbury Wharf offers a welcoming base with clean facilities, an onsite shop and tearoom, and an experienced team that prioritises safety. The wharf's location at Norbury Junction puts peaceful canal scenery and local pubs within easy reach.
For special occasions you are welcome to decorate the boats with balloons and banners. One of your party are welcome to arrive early to do this, but we request that you use blu tack or low tack masking tape rather than sellotape which damages the paintwork and varnish on the boats (suitable materials are available to purchase from our shop upon arrival).
