So we upgraded to a four poster bed for the extra £20, the room was large, the floor was quite uneven "quite the experience after a few drinks" and bed comfortable but no view, just the interior courtyard area. The hotel is very convenient for Buxton, everything just a short walk away. The hotel is tired but retains an oldy worldy charm. The only thing that ought be mentioned is that the two course meal is from a set menu and not the main restaurant menu so its a very limited and not so fancy choice

The 2 course meal was perfect and excellent value for money.The hotel itself is very clean and our room was lovely.
It's central and the staff are attentive.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful old hotel. The room was comfortable and warm with views over the slopes and Buxton old buildings. The food was excellent and so were the staff. Excellent value for money and would definitely recommend.

Buxton was very nice. Our room was lovely and spacious and overlooked pavilion gardens.staff helpful and friendly. Breakfast good but the evening meal was awful. They have a woucher menu to choose from with very little choice and the food was very poor.

It is good value for money and affordable for OAP's. Alistair the Restaurant manager could not do enough for you. All the staff were professional. The food was first class and most enjoyable. We highly recommend a visit.
