A wonderful Christmas. My first Christmas on a coach tour for a number of years. The staff and management were superb - friendly, professional and eager to please. The room was spacious and comfortable and the bathroom superb. A Christmas card and gift awaited on arrival. The food was superb, particularly the Christmas lunch. A hot drink and seasonal pastry awaited us on our return from our days out. The public areas are cosy and full of sofas. These could do with renovating as they are very low and need respringing - a minor criticism which did not spoil our enjoyment. The owner could learn something about customer service from his staff. Thank you for an enjoyable Christmas.

Mini mid week break away. A short mini break at this hotel was just what we needed. From start to finish the break was superb. Our room (4) was spotlessly clean. We also were pleased that the room was serviced every day which is some that is missing from most hotels nowadays.ALL the staff were friendly, polite and professional. Nothing was too much trouble for them.. they even offered to carry our bags up to the room. 1st class service all round. On Thursday evening we had some friends who live in the area join us for an evening meal. They had not eaten at Newby bridge hotel before. But said they would definitely be back. The quality of the food and service were really impressive. Well done Newby Bridge for being a first class hotel. I would highly recommend.

A very merry Christmas. Chosen for being dog friendly and having a pool in area of the Lakes we hadn’t explored. Very dog friendly, clean and well cared for, we were spoilt by attentive staff and a comfortable room, albeit 2 floors up, a bit of a hike for 2 mid 70s year olds!!
