Blackheath is almost a hidden treasure, with its rolling green landscapes and historic castles seldom seen in other areas around London. Blackheath Common provides a huge open space you can walk or cycle around - perfect for the long journeys with loved ones on a sunny afternoon. From Old MacDonald’s Farm & Fun Park to the Hopefield Animal Sanctuary, there are plenty of places to meet friendly animals while Weald and Thorndon Country Park are home to great trails to walk and incredible wildlife including wild deer. Brentwood Cathedral provides one of the town’s most prominent landmarks while the Gruffalo Trail provides the perfect activity to do as a family!

One described as “up and coming”, it’s fair to say Brixton has now established itself as one of the best places to go in South London. From the iconic Electric Avenue to the Ritzy Cinema, there are loads of attractions, not to mention a huge choice of cafes and restaurants. The area still celebrates its Caribbean roots and there is music playing regularly across Brixton Market along with the intoxicating aromas of the street food, as well as the indoor village of Pop Brixton. Bromley has a wide range of beautiful places to visit and things to do and provides a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of the main city. High Elms Country Park provides gorgeous, green gardens and is home to a golf course for those handy with a club, while Priory Gardens combines beautiful surroundings and woodland wildlife with a children’s play area. Christmas Tree Farm is perfect for a family trip out where you can even feed the animals while the man-made tunnels and guided tours through Chislehurst Caves will appease the most avid of explorers.
